What to see

Phaselis was founded by colonists from Rhodes and grew rich on trade. Its main colonnaded street links the harbours; along it stand baths, an agora, a small theatre with views of Mount Tahtalı, and the arches of an aqueduct among the pines.

Allow two hours, and bring swimwear: the harbours have small beaches where many visitors swim.

Summer middays are hot and the site is busy with boat groups; mornings are calmer.

About 15 km south of Kemer, signposted off the D400 near Tekirova; buses on the Antalya–Kumluca road stop at the junction, about 2 km from the gate.
