What to see

Tombs, a theatre, a bishop's palace and temple gates lie half-hidden in bay and oleander along both banks of the stream. The path through the ruins ends at a wide beach backed by cliffs.

Allow two hours for the ruins, or a whole day with the beach. The beach is reached through the archaeological site, so the site ticket applies.

Morning is best for the ruins before the heat. At night, the natural gas flames of the Chimaera (Yanartaş) burn on the hillside above nearby Çıralı.

Getting there

Olympos is signposted from the Antalya–Kumluca coast road; access is from Olimpos village inland or from Çıralı beach, and there is no direct city bus.
