What to see

The tower, probably built in the second century AD, stands on a square base on the cliff edge; its exact purpose — tomb, lighthouse or bastion — is debated. Next to it, Karaalioğlu Park stretches along the clifftop with lawns, palms and benches looking west across the Gulf of Antalya to the Beydağları range.

Half an hour to an hour; the tower is seen from outside.

Come for sunset, then walk down into Kaleiçi.

Getting there

At the southern edge of Kaleiçi, a ten-minute walk from Hadrian's Gate; nostalgic tram and city buses stop nearby.
