What to see

The Byzantine and Ottoman walls of the Ortahisar quarter rise above the valley, with the Zağnos bridge and tower at its lower end. Paths, cafés and fountains fill the valley floor.

An hour on foot, combined with the old streets of Ortahisar and the Fatih (Ortahisar) Mosque, a former church, inside the walls.

Easy walking, with stairs up to the old town.

Getting there

West of Meydan; walk along Uzun Sokak and down into the valley in about 15 minutes.
