What to see

The cave portal describes four oval chambers joined together, about 100 metres long in all, with a ceiling up to 18 metres high and dripstones in white, cream, pink and brown. Walkways and lighting make it an easy visit.

Allow about 45 minutes. The cave is a natural stop on the mountain road between Gümüşhane and Trabzon, together with the Zigana pass.

It is open to visitors from 15 April to 15 November each year, according to the cave portal; outside those dates it is closed.

Getting there

Near Cebeli village in Torul district, off the Gümüşhane–Trabzon road; by car. Gümüşhane is the nearest town with hotels.
