What to expect

Palandöken is the classic eastern Anatolian ski trip: long runs on a high, cold mountain, which keeps the snow powdery well into spring. It hosted the 2011 Winter Universiade.

Because the resort is so close to the city, you can stay in Erzurum and combine skiing with the old town, or ride the Eastern Express in or out.

Konaklı, a second resort on the same range, is 18 km south-west of the city.

Getting there

The resort is about 5 km from Erzurum city centre (Governorship). Erzurum is also a stop of the Eastern Express.
