What to expect

Kartalkaya is a handful of large hotels at the end of a forest road, with the pistes starting at their doors. It suits cross-country and ski-touring as well as downhill, according to the Governorship.

Abant Lake and Yedigöller, both lovely under snow, are within a drive of Bolu.

Getting there

About 38 km south-east of Bolu (Governorship). Bolu is on the Istanbul–Ankara motorway.
