What to see

Built in 1065 under the Marwanids, the bridge carries a footpath over the river; tea gardens on the banks look back to the Hevsel Gardens and the city walls.

Thirty minutes to an hour in the evening.

Walk across for the view of the river and the gardens.

Getting there

About 3 km south of the Mardin Gate of the city walls; taxi or city bus.
