What to see
The chronological exhibition is in a former government house of 1889 and runs through sites of the region such as Körtik Tepe, Çayönü and Ziyaret Tepe. Around it, inside the citadel, are the Amida mound where the city began, a church used as an art gallery, an Atatürk museum and a city museum in other restored buildings.
One to one and a half hours for the museum and the citadel grounds.
Closed on Mondays. The Ministry page notes that the thematic exhibition hall is temporarily closed.
