What to see

Summer brings the crowds; in winter Uzungöl is quiet, white and cold, with the forest slopes rising straight from the water.

Walk the path round the lake (under an hour) and up to the viewpoints if the snow allows.

Getting there

About 100 km south-east of Trabzon by road; Trabzon Airport is the usual arrival point.
