What to see

The great temple of Artemis was rebuilt several times and was among the largest buildings of the Greek world; almost nothing remains above ground. The lone column, assembled from fragments, often has a stork's nest on top, with the castle and İsa Bey Mosque behind.

A short stop of 15–20 minutes, mostly for what it once was.

The site is seen from the path around it; it is not on the ministry's ticketed list.

Getting there

On the western edge of Selçuk, a ten-minute walk from the centre on the road towards Ephesus.
