What to see

Excavations since 2014 have uncovered walls, a watchtower, cisterns, a church and one of the best-preserved Mithraeums known, cut into the rock beneath the fort.

Allow an hour.

It is not on the ministry's Diyarbakır list; opening rules were not found on a primary source.

About 45 km south-east of Diyarbakır near Çınar, off the Mardin road; by car.
