What to see

The old streets fill with cafés, boutiques and restaurants; the windmills on the hill are the classic viewpoint. The bay south of the village has steady winds for windsurfing.

An evening stroll, or a base for several days on the peninsula.

July and August are very busy; spring and early autumn are calmer.

Alaçatı is about 9 km from Çeşme and 75 km from İzmir; buses from İzmir stop there.
