What to see

The town lay about 3 km west of today's Eskipazar, where the old regions of Paphlagonia, Bithynia and Galatia met. Excavations have uncovered baths, churches, houses and fortifications, and the floor mosaics — animals, plants and geometric patterns — are the reason most visitors come.

One hour.

Some mosaics may be covered for protection outside the visiting season.

Getting there

About 3 km west of Eskipazar (Ministry figure). From Safranbolu it is about 40 km in a straight line (south-west); by car.
