What to see

The neo-Ottoman station of 1914 served the railway to Europe until the border changed; Karaağaç was returned to Türkiye under the Treaty of Lausanne, which the monument commemorates. An old steam locomotive stands in the grounds.

Thirty to forty-five minutes; combine with the walk from the Meriç Bridge.

The station building is used by Trakya University; access inside depends on the university.

Getting there

About 4 km south of the centre past the Tunca and Meriç bridges; city buses run to Karaağaç.
