What to see

The river is fed from the slopes of the Tendürek volcano. The Culture Portal gives the fall a height of 18 metres and notes a footbridge across from the viewing side; the far bank is a local picnic ground.

Allow 30–45 minutes. It is a natural stop on the road between Van and Doğubayazıt, with Ishak Pasha Palace and Mount Ararat further on.

About 80 km north-east of Van city centre in Muradiye district, beside the Van–Doğubayazıt road; by car or minibus towards Muradiye.
