What to see

Paşabağ's chimneys are unusual for their double and triple caps, like stone mushrooms. One of them holds a tiny chapel and the cell of a hermit linked in local tradition to St Simeon.

The site is compact: 30 to 45 minutes on flat paths is enough, which makes it easy with children.

Come early or near closing time for softer light and fewer groups. The same ticket covers Zelve, a few kilometres up the road.

Getting there

Paşabağ is on the Göreme–Zelve road about 1 km past Çavuşin; reach it by taxi, bike or on foot from Çavuşin.
