What to see

Myra was one of the leading cities of Lycia. Its sea necropolis and river necropolis are rock faces covered with tombs carved to look like timber houses, some with reliefs; below them the theatre is decorated with theatrical masks.

An hour is enough. The tombs are viewed from below, and the theatre can be climbed.

Myra is about 2 km north of Demre centre; buses on the coast road between Kaş and Antalya stop in Demre.
