What to see

The village is known for its distinctive architecture of white walls and dark timber, and for the Azmak, a short spring-fed river so clear you can watch the fish from the bridge; boats and paddleboards go up it between the reeds.

Afternoon winds on the gulf make it a centre for kitesurfing, while the morning sea is usually calm for swimming. A day trip or a few quiet days.

Spring and early autumn are relaxed; July and August weekends bring many visitors from nearby cities.

Getting there

About 25 km north of Marmaris and 30 km south of Muğla; buses between Muğla and Marmaris stop at the turn-off or in the village.
