What to see

Koza Han was built for the cocoon trade that made Bursa rich; silk scarves and fabrics are still sold in its two storeys of shops. Around it the covered bazaar, the Bedesten and a string of other inns such as Emir Han form one of the best-kept Ottoman market districts in the country.

An hour or two, longer if you settle into the courtyard tea garden.

Shops close on Sundays in much of the bazaar; weekday mornings are the most local.
