What to see

Fish restaurants line the waterfront facing Rabbit Island (Tavşan Adası), linked to the shore by a shallow, partly submerged strip that many people wade across when the sea is calm. Scattered remains of Myndos lie around the bay and under the water.

An afternoon and evening; the sunset over the islands is the classic end to a Bodrum day.

Building is restricted here because of the ancient site, which keeps the village small. Parking at the edge of the village fills up in summer evenings.

Getting there

About 20 km west of Bodrum; dolmuş minibuses run from Bodrum bus station.

Transport lines are general directions, not checked against the operator's timetable.
