A team plan for the question we get most: how many museums can you see on foot in one day on the European side? Our answer from the opening hours and ticket data on this site: seven, if you start early. Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts stand around one square; the Mosaic Museum and the Basilica Cistern are a few minutes away; the Archaeology Museums and the Science and Technology Museum sit together in Gülhane Park. From there the walk over the Galata Bridge to Galata Tower is about 25 minutes. Topkapı Palace is left out on purpose — it needs half a day on its own and closes on Tuesdays.
