Monday is the day most museums in Türkiye close, so the usual question is what is left. In Istanbul our data shows 5 places closed on Mondays — Beylerbeyi Palace, Dolmabahçe Palace, Galata Mevlevi Lodge Museum, Panorama 1453 History Museum, Rumeli Fortress — and 16 sights with a checked closing day that are open. This plan takes 12 of them in walking order from Sultanahmet Square: Istanbul Archaeology Museums, Topkapı Palace, Museum of the History of Science and Technology in Islam, Hippodrome (Sultanahmet Square), Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts, Şerefiye Cistern (Theodosius Cistern), Aqueduct of Valens, Balat and Fener, Theodosian Land Walls, Galata Tower, İstiklal Avenue, Taksim Square.
